Lowndes County Chapter

The Lowndes County Chapter of Medical Assistants was established April 26, 1969.

We have the only mother-daughter duo in Georgia who have both served as a local chapter president and GSMA President.

We participate in community service projects each year including donating to the Tree House, a thrift store which supports care of Hospice patients.  In 2024, we also donated books to the local library, provided a Thanksgiving meal to a needy family, and donated socks for the male residents at an area assisted living facility.

We welcome all medical assistants to our meetings regardless of membership status or certification.
