The GSMA meets twice a year for Continuing education and business meetings.
The Annual Conference is held in the spring each year and there is an educational workshop in the fall. These meetings serve as an opportunity to network with other Medical Assistants across Georgia, participate in growing the GSMA, and to facilitate Continuing Education Credit opportunities.

The Hall County Chapter of Medical Assistants is honored to host the 67th Georgia Society of Medical Assistants, Inc. Annual Conference! This exciting event will take place in the beautiful city of Duluth, Georgia on April 23-26, 2026 at the Holiday Inn Gas South Arena. The Executive Board Pre-conference meeting will be held on April 23, 2026 at 8pm in the hotel. All members are encouraged to attend the business meeting.
We welcome you to a weekend of learning, networking, and professional growth! Attendees can expect dynamic speakers who will lead meaningful discussions on current and emerging issues in healthcare, designed to support your educational growth. With an estimated 12 – 14 CEU opportunities, this event will assist you in staying informed and abreast of industry challenges, changes, and updates. Preparations are underway to ensure a valuable learning experience, so stay tuned for updates as we share additional details as the conference approaches.
In addition to the enriching educational experience, the conference offers fantastic opportunities to connect and network with other healthcare professionals. Conference attire calls for professional dress. However, for some fun and relaxation, don’t miss the Welcome Dinner Friday evening! The theme this year is “Healthcare Heros”, so come prepared to showcase your favorite hero at the party. Prizes will be given to the best dressed as well as Medical Trivia for CEUs will take place! The Installation Luncheon on Saturday will provide even more time to network while celebrating and welcoming our incoming leadership. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!
